Excellent Horse Electrolytes Powder

Horse Electrolytes Powder – fast hydration and recovery

Horse Electrolytes Powder is a complementary feed (dietetic feed) for horses, specially developed to compensate for electrolyte loss during heavy sweating. It supports rapid fluid absorption and retention and contributes to the restoration of fluid balance during and after (intensive) exercise or in warm conditions. When a horse sweats, it loses not only fluids but also essential electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium and calcium, as well as trace elements like zinc. These nutrients play an important role in fluid balance, muscle function and overall body performance. Horse Electrolytes Powder is a high-quality electrolyte mix that closely matches these losses and provides a practical addition to the ration of sport and working horses.

Benefits of Horse Electrolytes Powder

• Supports rapid fluid absorption and retention
• Helps restore fluid balance
• Contains essential electrolytes, zinc and vitamin B₂
• Supports normal muscle function
• Ideal during warm weather and intensive exercise
• Suitable for use during training, transport and competitions
• Flexible application (3-in-1 use)

Effective support for horses losing fluids and electrolytes through exercise or heat.

Composition & function

Horse Electrolytes Powder contains a balanced combination of:

• Sodium & chloride – support fluid balance
• Potassium – important for muscle activity
• Magnesium & calcium – contribute to normal muscle and nerve function
• Zinc – plays a role in various body processes
• Vitamin B₂ – supports energy metabolism

Horse sweat contains relatively high concentrations of electrolytes. If these are not adequately replenished, it may lead to reduced drinking behaviour and slower recovery. Supplementation helps restore balance more efficiently.

Why electrolytes are important

During heavy sweating, a horse loses more electrolytes per litre of fluid than are present in blood or other body fluids. If not replenished:

• fluid balance may be disrupted
• drinking behaviour may decrease
• recovery after exercise may be delayed

Electrolytes therefore support efficient rehydration, especially when water alone is not sufficient.

3-in-1 ease of use

Horse Electrolytes Powder can be administered in three simple ways:

• Dry over the feed
• Dissolved in drinking water (excellent solubility)
• Mixed into a mash

Flexible application depending on the situation and the horse’s preference.

Suitable for

• Sport and competition horses
• Horses during intensive training or work
• Horses in warm weather conditions
• Horses during transport
• Horses requiring additional support for fluid balance

Feeding instructions

• 25 grams per 1 litre of water

Administer during the period:

• 1 day before exercise
• up to 2 days after exercise

Maximum:

• 100 grams per day

Always ensure sufficient fresh drinking water is available.

Use

• Ideal during warm weather or heavy exercise
• Suitable for short-term use around periods of exertion
• Easy to dose and mix

Important

Adequate water intake is essential when using electrolytes. Always ensure the horse has access to sufficient fresh drinking water.
