Automated decision-making

Hofman Animal Care B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems, without a person (such as a Hofman Animal Care B.V. employee) involved. Hofman Animal Care uses the following computer programs or systems: Exact Globe, Exact Synergy, Microsoft Outlook, online booking programs of our transporters.

How long we store personal data

Hofman Animal Care B.V. does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Hofman Animal Care uses a retention period of 10 years.

Sharing personal data with third parties

Hofman Animal Care B.V. does not sell your data to third parties and will only provide them if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Hofman Animal Care remains responsible for these processing operations.

To make sure the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. Black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks, at your request. Hofman Animal Care B.V. would also like to point out that you have the opportunity to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
